Announced just a little over a week ago, Samsung’s newest premium smartphones, the Galaxy A8 and A8+ are now officially available in Samsung Experience Stores and authorized retailers nationwide.
Both the A8 and A8+ are IP68 certified for water and dust resistance, and feature Samsung’s Infinity Display with an 18:5:9 aspect ratio, which provides a flowing and seamless design that’s pure eye-candy. Both devices are also powered by an octa-core Exynos 7885 processor, and run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
Apart from screen size, the main difference between the two is in the amount of RAM and storage – the A8 with 4GB and 32GB, while the A8+ has 6GB and 64GB, as well as battery capacity – 3,000mAh for the A8, and 3,500mAh for the A8+.
The new phones are also equipped with improved optics – AÂ 16MP rear camera with PDAF, and dual front cameras (16MP + 8MP) capable of Live Focus and Wide Selfie. Other features include Facial Recognition and Bixby, Samsung’s digital assistant.
