Just how capable are touchscreens in deciphering our fingerprints? Well enough for Doogee to show us that it can be done.
Actually, Vivo beat them to the punch with the X20 Plus UD. However, being the second player to use the technology lends credibility to its functionality. This video which features the Doogee V being poked by a robotic arm shows us that the phone can indeed be unlocked by pressing a finger on the screen.
The Doogee V is rumored to have a 6.21″ AMOLED screen with a Full HD+ resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. At the flip-side, a 16MP and 8MP combo is paired with dual LED flash. The back panel is all glass giving it a premium feel and perhaps, NFC enabled. It also houses a 4,000mAh battery which should last 6 to 7 hours in moderate use.
According to @VenyaGeskin1, the Doogee V will be powered by Mediatek’s high-end octacore-chip dubbed Helio P40 and will be paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It is rumored to be between $300 to $350 (P15,00 to 17,500), launching in the second quarter of the year.
