After numerous rumors and speculations, Huawei’s newest flagships, the P20 and P20 Pro were finally unveiled on its grand event in Paris, and confirms most of what we already know.
Both devices are powered by the octa-core Kirin 970 Neural Processing Unit, which uses advanced algorithms to intelligently keep the phone in top shape for a longer period of time. In terms of display, The P20 has a 5.8-inch LCD display, while the Pro has a 6.1-inch OLED display. Both with FHD+ resolution. The P20 also boasts 4GB of RAM, while the Pro has 6GB. Both come with 128GB of storage.
For imaging, the P20 sports the same dual camera system on the Mate 10, composed of a 12MP RGB sensor, complemented by a 20MP monochrome sensor. It gets even more interesting on the Pro, which has a 40MP sensor for stills, combined with an 8MP secondary sensor for 3x Optical Zoom and when combined, 5x Hybrid Zoom. And for the first time, there’s now a tertiary 20MP monochrome sensor. Both devices are capable of 960fps slow-motion video and 4K recording.
Both devices will run on the latest version of EMUI on top of Android Oreo, with the P20 packing a 3,400mAh battery, and the Pro with a bigger 4,000mAh battery. Both are compatible with Huawei’s SuperCharge Technology.
The Huawei P20 comes in Black, Blue, and Pink colors, while the Pro will also be available in an additional color named Twilight.
