As a brand that puts awesomeness at its core persona, there is no better way to communicate this than to tap a talented and skilled player in the NBA. If VIVO has Stephen Curry, local based tech company, Cloudfone, just got Kyrie Irving as their new face.

This surprising move by the local company was brought about by their partnership with NBA.

Kyrie was 2014’s NBA All-Star Game MVP. In 2016, Irving got his first NBA Championship with Cavaliers. In 2017, Irving requested Cavaliers to trade him to avoid sharing the spotlight with his Lebron James. He was eventually traded to Boston Celtics in exchange for Isaiah Tomas, Jae Crowder and Ante Zizik.

Apart from playing professional basketball, he is also known for his role as Uncle Drew. The character was initially a concept for Pepsi Max advertisements but was eventually produced to a full-length movie, which will be shown in theaters on June 29, 2018.

Undoubtedly, Irving’s quest for awesomeness mirrors Cloudfone’s goals. Their compatibility is just uncanny.
