Earlier today, Lenovo Philippines launched its newest series of ThinkPads and Workstations, featuring the latest innovations that will help enhance productivity by delivering the agility and performance needed to support the evolving workplace.

ThinkPads 5

A total of five new ThinkPads were introduced during the launch – The ThinkPad L380, X280, E480, T480 and T480S. All feature touch fingerprint readers, IR cameras for added security, and are powered by 8th generation Intel core processors.

In addition, all of the new models are equipped with USB Type-C ports for universal charging, and a new docking design that works with 12 to 15-inch ThinkPads.

To improve portability, the new models are even lighter than their predecessors. Every device has also gone thorough a series of durability tests for the Mil-SPEC 810G military standard – these include humidity, low temperature, high vibration, and high altitude tests.

Added Power

The new ThinkPads are powered by the 8th Generation U-Series Intel Core processors that offer the latest power-efficient microarchitecture, advanced process technology, and silicon optimizations.

These new processors also feature Turbo Boost 2.0, which intelligently controls power and speed across all cores, giving the user the needed horsepower whenever necessary, while saving energy when it counts. Intel Hyper-Threading technology allows the ThinkPads to finish multiple tasks faster, making it the perfect companion for professionals which demand the absolute in performance.

Lenovo also launched two new ThinkStations, the P520 and P520C. Both are equipped with the latest Intel Xeon processors, and NVIDIA Quadro Graphics, making them ideal for intensive graphics processing or 3D animation. They are also fitted with Tri-Cooling Technology, which offers better airflow and power management compared to most other workstations.

A new, faster style of work by a younger generation of workers has given birth to the hybrid workspaces of today where achieving maximum efficiency and productivity is the goal. Gone are the days of the conventional office setup where employees sit at the same desk on the same floor of the same building.
With most of today’s workforce being on-the- go, it is now time for traditional workspaces to evolve in order to achieve maximum efficiency and productivity. Together with Intel, our newest ThinkPads meet mobility demands while at the same time providing enterprise-grade reliability and security, thereby making offices who utilize them more than ready to face any challenges that future business environments hold.Lenovo Philippines Country General Manager, Michael Ngan
