ASUS has recently announced its AREZ branding for Radeon RX graphics cards. Derived from Ares, the Greek god of war, AREZ-branded cards are built to provide gamers with superior cooling technology and a robust software ecosystem.
Extreme durability
AREZ graphics cards are built using Auto-Extreme technology, an industry-exclusive, 100% automated production process that makes use of premium materials to set a new standard of quality, performance and longevity. Since its introduction to ASUS graphics cards, there has been a 30% increase in reliability. This process is also environment-friendly.
The use of super alloy components deliver increased efficiency, reduced power loss and component buzzing by 50% when in full load, in addition to thermal levels that are 50% cooler than previous designs.
Hi-tech cooling
MaxContact is a GPU cooling technology – featuring an enhanced copper heat spreader that’s in direct contact with the GPU. Utilizing precision machining, it provides a flatter surface for up to 2x more contact area with the GPU versus traditional heat spreaders, resulting to better thermal performance.
Selected AREZ graphics cards are also built with 40% more heatsink surface area than previous dual-slot designs, this further improves heat dissipation for cooler and quieter performance.
The patented wing-blade fan design provides 105% more static pressure over the heatsink. This results to more efficient cooling and up to 3x quieter operation compared to other fan designs. The fans are also certified as IP5X dust resistant to increase their lifespan.
ASUS FanConnect II uses two four-pin hybrid-controlled headers that can be connected to both PWM and DC system fans for optimal system cooling. The connected fans will use the GPU and CPU as reference, and will automatically operate based on which one has the higher temperature.
Software ecosystem
GPU Tweak II has been redesigned with a more intuitive interface for easier overclocking, while still retaining advanced options for hardcore overclockers. With one click, Gaming Booster takes out redundant processes and automatically allocates available resources intelligently.
AREZ graphics cards also support the latest AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition drivers for comprehensive control over AMD GPUs. Its core features include power-saving Radeon Chill technology, Radeon WattMan for custom control of voltages, engine clocks and fan speeds, and Radeon ReLive for capturing and sharing of gameplay.
ASUS AREZ-Branded graphics cards are expected to be available in the Philippines starting June 2018.
