During its V9 Mall Tour, Vivo also silently released a more affordable smartphone with an 18:9 display. Named the Y71 (2018), it comes in two variants, and offers decent specs along with a premium design without putting a big hole in your pocket.
The device has a 6-inch FullView display with HD+ resolution, bringing its screen-to-body ratio to 84.4%. Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 octa-core processor, along with 2GB/3GB of RAM, and 16GB of storage expandable with a microSD card.
The Y71 is equipped with a 13MP rear shooter that’s capable of slow motion video recording, along with a 5MP front-facing camera with Face Beauty mode. It runs on Vivo’s Funtouch OS 4.0 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo, and packs a 3,360mAh battery.
The Vivo Y71 comes in black and gold colors, and is now available in stores with an SRP of PhP8,990 for the 3GB RAM variant, and PhP7,990 for the 2GB RAM variant.
