Today, ASUS has confirmed what a lot of fans have been eagerly waiting for – the local launch of the Zenfone Max Pro M1. And while there’s still no exact date and pricing, what we do know is that it’ll be some time in June. That’s not exactly a long wait.
The Zenfone Max Pro M1 will be available in 3GB and 4GB variants, both with the mid-range Snapdragon 636 under the hood. Yes, that’s the same chip that powers the Zenfone 5. Whether the phone will also have AI-enhanced features is still a question.
The device sports a 6-inch FHD+ display that sticks to an 18:9 aspect ratio, so yes, no notch here. We might be looking at 32GB and 64GB of storage, expandable with a microSD card.
For optics, the Zenfone Max Pro M1 has a 13MP/16MP + 5MP rear camera system, the later used for depth-sensing. It also has a 8MP/16MP front camera with LED flash. What even more interesting is that the device doesn’t come with ZenUI, and offers a pure Android experience, Android 8.1 Oreo to be exact.
Members of the Max lineup are popular for outstanding battery life, and this one is no different. In fact, the Zenfone Max Pro M1 houses a 5,000mAh battery with ASUS BoostMaster fast-charging.
