If you’re looking for a good laptop for productivity, Dell is usually a brand that would make it to the top of the list. Now though, they’ve unleashed a new beast, in the name of the XPS 13, and it’s not just powerful, it’s also one of the most gorgeous looking machines we’ve seen in a while. This year, it also received the CES Innovation Award, proof of the company’s commitment to quality.
The new XPS 13 hosts improvements in just about every aspect. Along with the new generation Infinity Edge 4K display, the devices now comes in Rose Gold and Alpine White woven glass fiber interior, has narrower borders, and up to 80% more thermal headroom.
Apart from its thinner and lighter design, it also features the GORE Thermal Insulation that uses the same silica aerogels used in the Mars rover. That alone should tell you how robust its cooling system is. The new XPS 13 also comes with the Dell Cinema suite of entertainment-enhancing technologies, to deliver an immersive viewing experience.
The device runs on Windows 10 Pro, and is powered by an 8th Generation Intel Quad-Core processor. It also comes with up to a 1TB SSD, and delivers almost 20 hours of battery life on FHD resolution, and up to 11 hours in 4K – the longest for a 13-inch laptop.
With a focus on saving the environment, the Silver Aluminum model also comes with Dell’s Ocean Plastics Packaging – plastic trash that’s been recovered from waterways, and then remade into useful materials. The Rose Gold model on the other hand comes wrapped in a 100% recyclable bamboo packaging tray.
Of course, with a product like this, you’ll be in need of excellent after sales support. Dell has that through its Premium Support Services – wherein a team is always on standby to deliver personalized one-on-one support for just about any issues you may have – whether it be hardware or software-related.
