The latest device from Huawei’s sub-brand, Honor, has finally made its way to Philippine shores, officially. Named the Honor 10, it’s currently the most affordable smartphone that’s powered by the Kirin 970 chip, which you’ll find in devices like the Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro, along with the more recent P20 and P20 Pro.
The Honor 10 has a 5.84-inch FHD+ IPS display, and rocks 4GB of RAM and a generous 128GB of storage. It also runs on EMUI 8.1 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo, and packs a 3,400mAh battery. Unlike the P20 series, this one retains the headphone jack.
So what’s the trade-off for such an attractive price? well, most likely, it’s in the imaging department. While the Honor 10 has a dual rear camera system composed of a 24MP Monochrome and a 16MP RGB sensor, there’s no Leica branding here. It does however, feature AI-assisted scene detection.
The Honor 10 comes in four gorgeous colors: Glacier Grey, Midnight Black, Phantom Blue, and Phantom Green, and will retail exclusively in Shopee for PhP23,990, with pre-orders starting May 31, 2018. There will also be a Shopee flash sale on June 6, wherein the first 100 buyers will also get a FREE JBL Headphone worth PhP2,999.
