We first saw the Under Display Fingerprint Scanner with Vivo’s X20 Plus UD, immediately followed by the Huawei Mate RS Porsche Design. Now, it’s OPPO’s turn to get a patent for the said technology.
Images from the patent has emerged from the State Intellectual Property Office of China (SIPO) and clearly states the sequencing part for the under display fingerprint scanner which shows the specific part of the finger being scanned. This fingerprint scanner is used for unlocking the device and even authorizing payments.
OPPO is rumored to have this technology featured in the R15s, supposedly launching this October.
