Apart from the flagship Mi 8, Xiaomi also unveiled the Mi 8 SE, its mid-range counterpart, and is the world’s first smartphone to be powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chip, which has a multi-core AI engine that delivers up to two times better performance in AI applications compared to the previous generation, among other features.
The Mi 8 SE sports a 5.88-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and an 18.7:9 aspec ratio. It has either 4GB of 6GB of RAM, along with 64GB of storage.
At the back of the device is a 12MP (main) + 5MP (depth) dual camera module, complimented by a 20MP front snapper, also with AI-enhanced portrait mode.
The 4GB RAM variant of the Mi 8 SE will cost 1799 Yuan (around PhP14,000) while the 6GB variant will retail for 1999 Yuan (around PhP16,000).
