Vivo has finally launched its latest flagship for the Philippine market, and its one of the most powerful from the brand to date. Say hello to the new Vivo X21, featuring an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Design wise, the X21 looks pretty much like the V9 – plastic back panel with a glossy finish, and the familiar branding minus the fingerprint scanner. You get a 6.28-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood is a Snapdragon 660 chip, along with 6GB of RAM for multi-tasking and a generous 128GB of storage expandable with a microSD card.
At the back of the device is a dual 12MP + 5MP camera system with AI Scene Detection, Dual Pixel PDAF, and the capability of adding a depth effect to your photos, complimented by a 12MP front snapper with AI-assisted beautification.
Of course, the bread and butter of this phone is its In-Display Fingerprint Scanner, wherein you’ll only have to tap and hold on an icon to unlock the device. It also has an always-on-display, which lets you have a glance at the date, time, and a limited number of notifications.
The Vivo X21 runs on Funtouch OS 4.0 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo, and houses a 3,200mAh battery with fast-charging. It will come in three colors: Black, Blue, and Red, and will retail for PhP29,999. It will be available in stores starting June 22, 2018. For our full review of this device, click here.
