We know you’ve been waiting for them, and now, they’re finally here. After weeks of teasing them on the company’s Facebook Page, Huawei has finally launched its newest dynamic duo for the Philippine market, and the newest stars of the Nova lineup – Meet the Nova 3 and Nova 3i!
The Nova 3 is a device that sports an elegant and premium design combined with flagship-grade hardware. It has a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Under the bonnet is a Kirin 970 octa-core processor with AI capabilities, the same chip on the P20 and P20 Pro. It has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, expandable with a microSD card.
For optics, the device has a 16MP RGB sensor coupled with a 24MP Monochrome sensor, minus the Leica branding. Up front is a combination of a 24MP and a 2MP camera, the latter used for depth sensing. It houses a 3,750mAh battery.
The Nova 3i is the newest mid-range offering from the brand. It has the same 6.3-inch FHD+ display as the Nova 3, and runs on the new Kirin 710 octa-core processor with AI capabilities, along with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of on board storage.
Similar to the Nova 3, it also sports dual front and rear cameras. 16MP + 2MP at the rear, and 24MP + 2MP up front.
Both support GPU Turbo technology, which in theory, should equate to a boost in gaming performance. Both also run on EMUI 8.2 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo, and retain a headphone jack. As for the battery, it’s 3,750mAh for the Nova 3 and 3,340mAh for the Nova 3i.
