Xiaomi had a huge surprise for everyone today. Apart from launching the entry level Redmi 6 and 6A, they also announced that their latest flagship, the Mi8 will also be available in the Philippines very soon!

The Xiaomi Mi8 is one of the most affordable handsets that run on a Snapdragon 845 SoC. There’s a 6.21-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and an 18.7:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the device carries 6GB of RAM, 64GB/128GB of storage, and a 3,400mAh power pack that’s compatible with Qualcomm’s new Quick Charge 4+ technology.

At the rear are two 12MP sensors, equipped with AI scene detection and dual pixel auto-focus. There’s also a 20MP AI-assisted front camera. Other features include infrared face recognition, Dual-Band GPS, Bluetooth 5, and NFC. The device runs on MIUI 10 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo.

The Xiaomi Mi8 will be available in authorized stores starting July 30, 2018. The 6GB/64GB variant will for PhP25,990, while the 6GB/128GB version will be priced at PhP27,990.
