Xiaomi has once again broadened its portfolio of smartphones in the country, as it launched its newest entry-level devices, the Redmi 6 and 6A.

Both devices feature a 5.45-inch HD+ screen with an 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the Redmi 5A has a Helio A22 quad-core CPU at the helm, along with 2GB/3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, while the Redmi 6 has a more powerful octa-core Helio P22 with 3GB/4GB of RAM and up to 64GB of on-board space. Both pack a 3,000mAh battery.

For imaging, the Redmi 6 has a dual 12MP + 5MP rear camera system, while the Redmi 6A sports a single 13MP sensor. Both are complimented by a 5MP front snapper with AI-assisted Portrait Mode and Beautification, and run on MIUI 9 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo.
The Xiaomi Redmi 6A will retail for PhP5,290 for the 2GB/32GB variant, and PhP5,990 for the 3GB/32GB variant, while the Redmi 6 is priced at PhP7,490 for the 3GB/32GB variant, and PhP8,990 for the 4GB/64GB variant. Both units will be available in Shopee and Lazada starting July 23, 2018, and in authorized stores at the end of the month.
