Both devices feature a 5.45-inch HD+ screen with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The Redmi 5A is powered by a Helio A22 quad-core CPU, along with up to 2GB/3GB of RAM and up to 32GB of storage, while the Redmi 6 has a more powerful octa-core Helio P22 with 3GB/4GB of RAM and up to 64GB of on-board space. Both pack a 3,000mAh battery.
In terms of optics, the Redmi 6 has dual 12MP + 5MP rear cameras, while the Redmi 6A sports a single 13MP sensor. Both are complimented by a 5MP front snapper, and run on MIUI 9 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo.
