The Honor Play is by its name, a gaming-focused device, and sports a 6.3-inch FHD+ FullView display, and is powered by a Kirin 970 SoC. Yes, that’s the same flagship grade chip that powers the Nova 3, the Mate 10 Series, the P20 and the P20 Pro. It comes with the new GPU Turbo technology, which touted to raise performance in graphically demanding applications.

With GPU Turbo, graphics processing efficiency is increased by up to 60%, while actually reducing the SoC energy consumption by 30%, in a breakthrough balancing act of performance and efficiency.

The device is also loaded with AI-features to add to the gaming experience, such as AI 4D Smart Shock, which makes the device vibrate according to what is happening in selected games, and AI 3D surround sound which utilizes Histen 3D audio technology to deliver an ultra-wide 3D sound field, and can be set to three modes. It works with both wired and wireless headphones.
