After weeks and weeks of teasing it on their Facebook page, plus numerous speculations, OPPO has finally lifted the curtain on its newest mid-range offering – The OPPO F9.

The display is a 6.3-inch TFT-LTPS panel with a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels, or FHD+, very common for phones at this price range. Under the hood is the same Helio P60 chip that powers the F7. Of course, that means you also get the same AI features, that span across many aspects of the phone, from performance, to optics, down to the battery. There’s 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, expandable with a microSD card.

Thanks to the SoC, it also comes with AI-assisted scene detection, which basically optimizes the camera setting for your subject.  Up front is a 25MP shooter, equipped with OPPO’s AI Beauty Technology 2.0.

Perhaps, the most game changing feature of the F9, is its VOOC Flash Charge Technology – something that’s not usually found on devices at this segment. It basically gives you 2 hours of talk time with just 5-minutes worth of charge, which is insane. The phone runs on ColorOS 5.2, which gives you features such as Face Unlock, Game Acceleration, and more.
