OPPO is gearing up for the launch of its newest F-series smartphone, the F9, the first from the series with VOOC Flash Charge Technology that gives you 2 hours of talk time from just 5-minutes worth of charge.
According to recent teasers, the F9 will have a smaller notch compared to the F7, in the shape of a waterdrop. A leak from the company’s Vietnamese website also revealed the device’s key specifications, such as a 6.3-inch FHD+ screen, a Helio P60 chip, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and a 3,500mAh battery.
As for its cameras, the F9 will have a 16MP + 2MP dual rear camera system. As expected, the 25MP front camera will still have the company’s AI Beauty Technology (the F7 had version 2.0, so will this have version 3.0?), which scans and analyzes numerous points on your face to determine how you should be “beautified.”
OPPO also posted photos of the device’s color choices, which are now sort of gradient ones and feature a diamond pattern – Sunrise Red, and Twilight Blue.
In any case, there’s only a couple of days before the official launch. We’ll be covering the event to give you the latest updates on pricing and availability, so stay tuned.
