While we all anticipated the announcement of the new iPad Pro, the features it now carries just reshaped the tablet competition.
The new iPads – both the 11-inch and 12.9-inch – have transformed itself to a tablet version of its phone counterpart, the iPhone XS. Everything about it now makes it a worthy companion to content creators and even mobile gamers. While the tablet scene isn’t as exciting as the smartphone competition, the new iPads may just enliven it again with its slew of exciting new features.
The 2018 iPad Pros sports a Liquid Retina Display with ProMotion technology. The latter isn’t exactly new, but the positive remarks about its performance on previous line-up that has such feature makes it impossible for Apple to not bring it to new iPad generations.
The A12X Bionic chip on the new iPads makes it 2x faster the previous iPad Pro. I just couldn’t imagine how fast the new one be given the fact that I’m already too happy with my current iPad Pro.
As a home button-less iPad, the new ones are controlled via gestures; and access may be authenticated via Face ID. At last, the supposedly more secure Face ID is now available on the iPad, and it’s expected to be better than ever before.
Apple also introduced the new Apple Pencil, which now responds to your touch. Simply double tapping it will quickly change brushes or switch to eraser making your workflow more fun and seamless.
But perhaps, the most talked about hardware feature of the new iPads is the USB Type C connectivity in lieu of Lightning. This is totally an unprecedented feature in Apple’s mobile devices. This opens the new iPad to various hardware connectivities (and dongles), which can definitely make content creators and creative professionals very happy with possibility this feature carries.
