Earlier today, Beyond the Box launched the much-anticipated iPhone XR in the Philippines, in its branch in the City of Dreams in Pasay City.
Activities started as early as 9:00 PM while people were already queuing up in line to get first dibs on the device. As a primer, a number of workshops were conducted on how to take good photos with the iPhone, the best features of iOS 12, and for taking good care of smartphones. The official selling started at 12:01 AM,
Raffle draws were also held for those in line, courtesy of Beyond the Box and Marshall. And to make sure that customers won’t get hungry, they were also given free Pizza courtesy of Pizza Express.
As a reward for their patience, the first 100 customers who purchased the new iPhone also received a Premium Essentials kit filled with items from Baseus, XPower, Pop Sockets, Fuse Chicken, Laut, Urbanears and BTW.
The iPhone XR carries a number of notable features found on the iPhone XS and XS Max, but with a more affordable price tag. It boasts IP67 certification for water and dust resistance, and has a 6.1-inch Liquid Retina HD display. It’s also powered by the same A12 Bionic chip found in its more premium siblings.
For imaging, the device boasts a single 12MP camera with a wide angle lens and is capable of up 4K video recording, 5x digital zoom and has Portrait Mode with depth control, Optical Image Stabilization, and Smart HDR, among many other features. The 7MP front camera also has Portrait Mode and video stabilization.
The iPhone XR runs on iOS 12, and has a battery that’s touted to last 1.5 times longer than the iPhone 8 Plus. It comes in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB, and retails for PhP52,490, PhP55,490, and PhP62,490 respectively. You can also avail of a unit at 24 mos. 0% installment with Unionbank, Security Bank, Metrobank, BPI, Eastwest Bank, PNB, Citibank. It’s also available for up to 12 months 0% installment with BDO.
