These days, people want to capture their precious moments and adventures in high resolution and stable video. Whether it’s a hike, a bike, a swim, or even just a few minutes of playtime with the family dog, it’s important to be able to relive these times in the best quality possible.
DJI is no stranger to these needs, so they introduced the new Osmo Pocket. An extremely compact three-axis stabilized camera that does exactly that. It boasts a plethora of intelligent features that allow users to capture photos and videos in creative ways. All in a portable compact factor.
Small yet powerful
At just 4-inches tall, the Osmo Pocket simply fits virtually anywhere, and is the company’s first three-axis stabilized camera. It uses a 1/2.3 inch sensor that can take 12MP photos, and record video at up to 4K 60fps at 100Mbps. For capturing high quality audio, it’s been equipped with dual microphones and advanced noise-cancellation algorithms. You’ll also be able to shoot in 4K 30fps for up to 2 hours.
Smooth, stable video
To eliminate shakes and movements, the Osmo Pocket features a three-axis mechanical gimbal that compensates and smooths motions, allowing the user to focus on composition and subject matter.
Simple and smart
The Osmo Pocket has a 1-inch integrated touch screen that provides high quality live view, and the ability to toggle through the various shooting modes, adjust settings, and gain access to features such as ActiveTrack, which allows the device to recognize and follow subjects selected by the user, and FaceTrack, which automatically recognizes a human face and keeps the subject at the center of the frame at all times.
Unlock the full power of Osmo Pocket
Users can connect their mobile devices via Lighting or USB-C through the universal port found under the touchscreen. Once connected, the dedicated DJI Mimo app will automatically launch and will function as a monitor, while also giving access to a variety of shooting modes, including Pro mode, which gives more in-depth control over content through various camera setting adjustments.
A Versatile and Wide Range of Accessories
To maximize and further extend the capability of the Osmo Pocket, a number of accessories will be made available – such as a wireless mount, which supports Wi-Fi/Bluetooth to provide remote access to the camera feed and control through a mobile device, a 3.5mm Adapter for connecting an external microphone, and a waterproof case that can be placed at a depth of up to 60 meters.
Pricing and Availability
The DJI Osmo Pocket is priced at PhP23,200, and is now available for pre-order at store.dji.com, DJI Flagship Stores, and other authorized retailers, with pre-orders to start shipping on December 15, 2018. For more information, click here.
