These days, a lot of people are investing in laptops not just for work, but also for play, thanks to the portability and convenience that they offer. However, owning one takes a lot of financial and emotional investment. A sudden issue doesn’t only hamper the productive moment, but could also cause undue stress due to the hassle of going through repairs.

In its continuous effort to offer a better after sales experience to its customers, ASUS has recently announced its Premium Care program (APC), a warranty extension and service upgrade package that’s available for end-users who have purchased an ASUS laptop within the last 90 days.

For a price of PhP3,499, APC allows users to upgrade their existing warranty from the standard two-year global warranty, to a country’s-first, industry-leading three-year GLOBAL warranty that’s recognized in over 50 countries worldwide. To give you an idea, comparable three-year warranty packages from competitors only cover local warranty, at a cost of PhP6,300.

Select ASUS and ASUS Republic of Gamers users will also have the option to extend their two-year global warranty to a three-year warranty, or change it to a two-year local on-site warranty (exclusive to users from Metro Manila, Metro Cebu, and Metro Davao only).

ELIGIBILITY AND APC PACKAGES

All ASUS laptops are eligible for the 1-year APC additional warranty extension package, with a few select models eligible for an optional change to the on-site warranty.

To avail of the APC package, end-users must first check whether their device is qualified and matches the product indicated in the APC package that they want to avail. For on-site warranty eligibility, end-users should also check if their area is covered by ASUS Authorized Service Providers, via this link.

If eligible, the next step is to register for an account at http://account.asus.com. and register their product to be tied with their account. They may then proceed to the Service Package Activation tab on the website and input their APC package details.

End-users can also check service center locations, as well as the status of their warranty and repairs via the MyASUS mobile app. For convenience, the brand commits to a 22-day turn-around time.
