When Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun was asked if the upcoming Mi 9 will support 24W fast charging, he quickly replied that the device must have “better” fast charging.
Now, this could mean one of a few things – either the rumored 32W fast charging for the Mi 9 is true, or it could also just be a confirmation that it will indeed have 24W fast charging. While 32W is somewhere in QC5 territory, the Snapdragon 855 only supports QC4+. Still, enabling it might only be a matter of a software update.
In any case, this confirms that the Mi 9 will have something special up its sleeve, as far as charging is concerned.
