Samsung’s new triple-camera setup on the Galaxy S10 and S10+ is one of the key selling points of the handset. DxOMark thinks the same as well. With an overall score is 109, the two devices in fact, match the Mate 20 Pro and the P20 Pro.

The photo and video scores of the Galaxy S10+ are 114 and 98, respectively, same with the Mate 20 Pro and P20 Pro’s camera scores. However, where the Galaxy S10+ excels is the selfie department. In fact, the selfie score of the Galaxy S10+ takes the lead with the Note 9 following closely behind along with the Pixel 3.

The Galaxy S10+’s camera appears to have good wide dynamic range, good exposure, accurate color reproduction, and convincing bokeh simulation. The recording capabilities also stand out with smooth framing and image stabilization.

While not perfect, it seems like the Galaxy S10 and S10+ are the phones to beat for camera performance in 2019.
