When we were given a chance to try out the Mi Mix 3 a few months back, Xiaomi said that a 5G version of the phone will also be released. And now, in its grand event at this year’s MWC, the company has indeed made the device official, oh, and it runs on a new chipset too.
The 5G version of the Mi Mix 3 basically almost has the same specs as its 4G counterpart – a 6.39″ AMOLED display, a magnetic sliding mechanism for its front camera, dual 12 MP rear cameras, and a 24MP + 2MP dual front camera system, the latter used for depth sensing.
The main difference, apart from having 5G capabilities, is that the new version will run on the latest Snapdragon 855 processor, along with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
That being said, you’d expect that the price for this version will be much higher than usual, and you’re actually right. The 6GB + 64GB variant costs 599 Euros or around PhP35,300. For comparison, the 6GB + 128GB variant of the Mi Mix 3 SD845 variant sells for PhP29,990 here in the Philippines.
