OPPO Launches Reno Series in PH!

OPPO is setting a new trend with the launch of its Reno series in the Philippines. Aimed at the creative who wants an immersive mobile photography experience, both the Reno and Reno 10X Zoom are fitted with powerful optics, combined with a new look that’s not only seamless but truly premium as well.

reno intro 18Both the Reno and Reno 10X Zoom sport a seamless design that gets rid of the notch, and the protrusion of the rear camera. The new O-Dot is designed to protect the camera elements from scratches and allows the phone to lay flat on surfaces.

The former has a 6.4-inch screen, while the latter has 6.6-inches. Both are AMOLED displays with FHD+ resolution, protected by Gorilla Glass 6. OPPO’s in-display fingerprint sensor has improved (a lot) and is now faster to respond.

oppo reno mid 18The Reno packs a Snapdragon 710, while the more premium Reno 10X has a flagship Snapdragon 855. Both come with 6GB or 8GB of RAM, and 128GB or 256GB of storage.

oppo reno mid 70For optics, the Reno 10X Zoom sports an AI-Assisted 48MP (Sony IMX586) + 8MP + 13MP triple camera system (wide-angle, ultra-wide angle, depth), and is capable of 10X hybrid zoom, and an astonishing 60x digital zoom. The mid-range variant sticks to a dual 48MP + 5MP setup with 2x optical zoom and 10x digital zoom. Both are capable of recording 4K videos, and feature Ultra Night Mode 2.0 and Dazzle Color Mode. The former also has Dual OIS.

oppo reno mid 2One of the key features for the Reno series, is the newly-designed motorized mechanism that houses the 16MP front camera, along with the front soft light, which only activates when you’re taking a selfie or unlocking the device. The mechanism takes 0.8 seconds to rise or rectract, and has been tested to run for 200,000 times, which in OPPO maths is around 5 years of usage.

Both devices run on ColorOS 6, which has been optimized to run on full-screen displays. It offers features such as Game Space, which optimizes the device’s performance for a more immersive gaming experience, prevents notifications from bothering you in-game and more. There’s also Clone Apps, which lets you have two instances of certain apps, letting you manage two accounts in one device.

Lastly, the OPPO Reno and Reno 10X Zoom a 3765mAh and 4065mAh power packs respectively. Both feature VOOC 3.0 Flash Charge.

Pricing, Pre-Order and and Availability

OPPO Reno retails for PhP26,990, and is currently up for pre-order on all OPPO Stores until June 20. Those who will pre-order will receive a Rock Space Muse Speaker worth PhP2,499. It will be available in stores starting June 21, 2019. You can also avail of a unit via Home Credit’s 9 or 12-months 0% interest plans.

OPPO Reno 10X Zoom on the other hand, is priced at PhP45,990, and can be pre-ordered from June 21 to June 30.  Those who will pre-order will get a Gimbal Stabilizer worth PhP5,999. It will be initially available in 100 OPPO stores starting July 1, 2019.
