OPPO Set to Take the Mid-Range and Flagship Markets by Storm with the Reno Series

reno intro 21The OPPO Reno and Reno 10X Zoom are both set for their official debut in the Philippines on June 19, 2019. Ahead of the date, the company has also announced the pre-order details for the mid-range device.

Designed for creatives with a passion for mobile photography, Both the OPPO Reno and Reno 10X benefit from a new seamless design, eliminating the notch in favor of a full-screen display, and getting rid of the protrusion of the rear cameras in favor of the O-Dot, which protects the camera module from scratches, while allowing the phone to lay flat on the ground.

The Reno has a 6.4″ screen, while the Reno 10X Zoom has a slightly larger 6.6″ real estate. Both are on FHD+ resolution. The mid-range variant houses a Snapdragon 710, while the more premium model is powered by a Snapdragon 855, both run with 6GB/8GB of RAM and either 128/256GB of storage.

For imaging, the more premium variant sports a 48MP (main, wide) + 8MP (Ultra-Wide) + 13MP (Periscope, Telephoto) triple camera system with PDAF, Laser AF, and Dual OIS. It also supports 4K/60fps video recording, and an astonishing 10X Hybrid Zoom, and up to 60X Digital Zoom. The mid-range model on the other hand, retains a 48MP + 5MP rear camera setup, and is capable of 2X optical zoom and 10X digital zoom. It can also record 4K/30fps videos. Both devices are equipped with AI Scene Recognition, Ultra Night Mode 2.0, Color Mapping, and Dazzle Color Mode.

Both the Reno and Reno 10X Zoom run on Android 9 with OPPO’s ColorOS 6 on top. The former has a 3,765mAh battery, and the latter has a 4,065mAh power pack. Both come with VOOC 3.0 Flash Charge.

The OPPO Reno will retail for PhP26,990, and is now available for pre-order at all OPPO stores until June 20, 2019. It will be available in stores starting June 21, 2019. Pre-Order details for the Reno 10X Zoom will be announced soon. Both devices are also set to be available online via Lazada.
