Apple has announced new and updated versions of the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro, sporting improvements to the display, as well as 8th Generation Intel processors. It seems that the company has also decided to discontinue the 12-inch MacBook Air.
The MacBook Air received True Tone to its Retina display. This offers a more natural viewing experience. The price of the MacBook Air has also been lowered to USD 1,099 (about PHP 56,600).
While the 13-inch MacBook Pro remains at USD 1,299 (about PHP 66,900), it has been updated with the latest 8th-generation quad-core processors. It also now features Touch Bar and Touch ID, a True Tone Retina display, and the Apple T2 Security Chip.

In the Philippines, the 13-inch MacBook Air is priced at PhP64,990 for the i5/8GB/128GB SSD variant, and PhP76,990 for the i5/8GB/256GB SSD variant. New variants of the 13-inch MacBook Pro are priced at PhP77,990 for the i5/8GB/128GB SSD variant, and PhP89,990 for the i5/8GB/256GB SSD variant.
