If ever you’re thinking that ASUS has been late in the game in terms of introducing a smartphone with in-display fingerprint sensor, then this information might get you really excited. We got a fair share of experience with the new ASUS ROG Phone 2 during the Game Changer conference in Taiwan last week, and we learned that it sports an in-display fingerprint sensor.
This new feature on the ROG Phone 2 makes it the first smartphone from the brand that sports an in-display sensor. Even the ASUS Zenfone 6 still sports a rear-mounted sensor, which relatively makes it sort of inferior – at least in terms of being featured-packed – to their new gaming smartphone.
ASUS did not discuss much details about its new fingerprint sensor on the new phone during the launch so there is much information to cover on our full review. Whether or not it features the same technology found on the Samsung Galaxy S10 series and the upcoming Note 10 series, that is something worth discussing soon.
