ps4 trophies

Hidden Trophies no more!

If you’re a trophy hunter like many others out there, knowing what conditions a hidden trophy has is a big deal. Without having to search for it through the web, you can easily find out what the hidden trophy is via this trick! While viewing the hidden trophy, pressing Square will allow you to view all the details of the trophy. You can also press on the options button to do a Google search for more information. Time to nab that Plat!

Sliding into your DM’s

Receiving spam messages? Getting salty PVP messages from someone halfway around the globe? Keep you and your PS4 safe by limiting the number of people who can send you messages. From the Settings menu, head into Account Management, then to Privacy Settings, and lastly Personal Info and Messaging. Choose from Anyone, Friends Only, or No One to avoid unwanted people from sliding into your DM’s!

Zoom zoom

No no, not the zoom you’re probably thinking of. This zoom feature will help players with their bad eyesight by allowing you to zoom in on the screen as needed. To allow this, head into Accessibility from Settings, and choose Zoom. Once on, you can then zoom in by pressing both the Square and the PS Button at the same time!

Sharing is Caring!

Playing a game is always better with friends. They can help you out through a tough level, cheer you on as they watch you play, or you can even let them take control of the game! To allow this feature called Share Play, simply click on the Share button and then choose the option to start Share Play! This is a great way to play with friends, but beware! Make sure that you trust who you share to because this opens up opportunities to mess up your game, you have been warned.

ps4 controller

Light it up

That DualShock light bar is more than just a simple decoration, it can actually tell you how much more you have to charge for full power! While charging, you’ll notice the light bar pulse – If the pulsing slows down, you’re nearly charged to full and when it dims out, then you’re all set to enjoy hours of wireless gaming again.

Turn it down a notch

Light bar on your controller too bright for comfort? You can actually dim the light by going into the Settings menu, choose Devices and then Controllers. Three brightness settings will be available to you and while you can’t turn it off, you can at least dim the light to an acceptable level so you don’t accidentally flash your eyes during those late night sessions.

Time for a break

Taking a break in between sessions is the right way to go about maintaining a healthy playing habit. Did you know you can power down your controller without having to turn off your PS4? Press down on the PS button for around 10 seconds and your DualShock controller will turn off. This allows you to jump back right into the game without the need to turn on your PS4 again.

Swap it out

Multitasking with your PS4 is a possibility, and while it’s not the easiest to navigate around, this handy trick will help you move across apps like a pro. Pressing the PS button twice will allow you to swap between your game and the last screen you were on, letting you get back to a game (or app) much faster!
