AMD Launches Third Generation Ryzen Processors and Radeon RX 5700 Series Graphics Cards in PH

Yesterday, AMD Philippines held an exclusive event, not only for the local launch of the 3rd Generation Ryzen processors along with the Radeon RX 5700 series graphics cards, but also for creating an avenue where a number of partner OEMs can showcase their newest motherboards and own version of the products.

amd launch 18amd launch 1Held at CORE Nightclub in Quezon City, the first floor served as the main event area where the program took place, while up in the second floor is the experiential zone, where attendees can check out booths from AMD’s partner OEMs like ASUS, ASRock, MSI, XFX, Gigabyte, and more.

amd launch 172Mr. Sonny Sy, AMD Philippines’ National Sales Manager for Components also gave a talk about the new Ryzen 3000 processors and Radeon RX 5700 graphics cards, along with some comparative data.

3rd Generation Ryzen Processors are built on a 7nm process to deliver improved performance and power efficiency. Using the Zen 2 architecture, they offer up to 15% more instructions per cycle versus the previous generation, and the highest single and multi-thread performance from any mainstream desktop processor.

Using the X570 chipset and featuring PCIe 4.0, these new processors offer up to 58% higher performance-per-watt, compared to the competition.

AMD also announced the availability of its Ryzen 3000 series processors with Radeon Graphics, the Ryzen 3 3200G and Ryzen 5 3400G, offering the best gaming experiences on entry-level setups.

amd launch 72AMD Radeon RX 5700 series graphics cards on the other hand, utilizes the RDNA architecture combined with GDDR6 memory support, and PCI Express 4.0 support to deliver better performance with less power.

amd launch 220The event also included fun and exciting activities such as a Rock, Paper, Scissors Battle Royale, wherein the winner took home a Ryzen 9 processor.

amd launch 244Partner OEMs also gave away premium items such as X570 motherboards and Radeon Graphics Cards. ASUS in particular even raffled off an entire system to a lucky winner.
