Linksys Launches MR8300 Gaming Router in PH

For many years, Linksys has been a very trusted name for routers. During its most recent event, the home division within newly merged Foxconn Interconnect Technology and Belkin International introduced a new gaming router to the Philippine market.

MR8300 can deliver up to 2.2 Gbps of speed, and is ideal for homes that require massive bandwidth for consuming 4K content and mobile gaming. Powered by a quad-core processor, it delivers improved network performance – fast, seamless connectivity whether it’s wired, wireless or WAN to LAN.

In a Tolly benchmark test, the MR8300 performed at least 71% better than the competition. The test involved a scenario with six gaming smartphones plus 21 other devices (active and idle) connected. The router managed to deliver an average ping time of 7.3ms.

It’s equipped with MU-MIMO and Beamforming Technology to ensure that High-Performance devices such as Smartphones, Smart TVs and Laptops can connect to the Internet through faster and dedicated Wi-Fi channels.

Linksys MR8300 is built with Intelligent Mesh Technology, allowing users to expand the Wi-Fi coverage by adding Velop nodes to the system.

Self-Organise – MR8300 and Velop nodes work together to cover any floor plan and WiFi footprint
Self-Optimise – WiFi bands and channels adjust based on users’ Wi-Fi habits
Self-Healing – If a node loses power or connection to the system, the remaining nodes re-establish connections to each other and the internet
One Network – Supports one network name and password, one admin login, one interface for management and monitoring, and one guest network for the whole home
Seamless Roaming for whole home gaming – When users add one or more Velop nodes to the MR8300, they will communicate with each other to form a single, unified wireless network.
