A game as big as The Last of Us 2 is not complete without some sort of special editions to accompany it when it releases next year. Revealed during Sony’s State of Play, check out the various physical editions to spend your hard earned money on!
As shared by game director Neil Druckmann himself the Collectors edition “includes a beautifully crafted 12” Ellie statue, a life-sized replica of Ellie’s bracelet, a custom SteelBook case, 48-page mini art book from Dark Horse, a set of six enamel pins, lithograph art print, and a set of five stickers. The Collector’s Edition also comes with a voucher for digital content, including a PS4 dynamic theme, a set of six PSN avatars, a digital soundtrack, and a digital version of the mini art book.” The Collectors edition will go for $169.99, or roughly around PHP8-9,000.
Taking it a step higher, the Ellie Edition has everything from the Collectors edition but also includes a full-sized, fully functional recreation of Ellie’s backpack, an embroidered patch, and a 7-inch vinyl record featuring music from the original soundtrack. This is the most expensive and will set you back $229.99, roughly around PHP11-13,000.

There is also a Special edition which contains a steelbook case for the game and all the digital bonuses from the Collectors and Ellie edition. The Standard edition will contain the base game. These will cost $79.99 and $59.99 respectively, roughly around PHP4,000 and PHP3,000 in that order.
If you prefer to go digital, the digital deluxe edition will include all digital content previously mentioned along with a digital copy of the game. As always, any pre-orders on the PlayStation Store will get you a PSN Avatar featuring Ellie’s tattoo. This version will cost $69.99 or around PHP3,500.
But wait, there’s more! If you pre-order any edition of the game, you’ll also receive two in-game unlocks when the game launches – an Ammo capacity upgrade which instantly unlocks an ammo capacity upgrade for Ellie’s pistol and a Crafting Training Manual that instantly provides access to new crafting recipes and upgrades.
The Last of Us 2 releases on February 21, 2020 exclusively on the PS4.
