Apart from the Surface Pro Duo, Microsoft also announced three new additions to its surface lineup – Say hello to the Surface Laptop 3, Surface Pro 7, and Surface Pro X.
Surface Laptop 3 uses a machined aluminium finish for its wrist rest by default, with Alcantara now an option. It comes in 13.5 and 15-inch variants (Both Touch-Enabled). The former is powered by up to an 10th Generation Intel Core-i7 processor, while the latter has up to a Ryzen 7 3780U with RX Vega 11 graphics.
You can have up to 16GB of LPDDR4X 3733MHz RAM on the 13-inch variant, and up to 32GB DDR4 2400MHz RAM on the 15-inch model. Both can deliver up to 11.5 hours of battery life, and support fast-charging.
Price starts at $999 for the 13-inch model, and $1,199 for the 15-inch model. It’s $1,299 for a Core i5, 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model, $1,599 for a Core i7, 16GB RAM and 25GB storage model, and $1,999 for a Core i7, 16GB RAM, and 512GB storage model.
Surface Pro 7 on the other hand, is basically a Surface Pro 6, bumped up with up to a 10th Generation Intel-Core i7 processor. It has a 12.3″ PixelSense touch display with a resolution of 2736 x 1824 pixels, and is backed by either Intel UHD Graphics or Intel Iris Plus Graphics for the i5 and i7 variants. It packs up to 16GB of LPDDR4X 3733MHz RAM, and up to a 1TB SSD.
Other features include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0 LE and Enterprise-grade protection via Windows Hello. It can deliver up to 10.5 hours of battery life, and can be charged to 80% in just over an hour.
Pricing starts at $749 for the Core i3, 4GB RAM and 128 storage variant. It’s $899 for a Core i5, 8GB RAM, 128GB storage model, $1,199 for a Core i5, 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model, $1,399 for a Core i5, 16GB RAM, 256GB model, $1,499 for a Core i7, 16GB RAM, 256GB storage variant, and lastly, it’s $2,299 for a Core i7, 16GB RAM, and 1TB storage.
Surface Pro X is a powerful tablet with a detachable keyboard. It boasts a 13-inch PixelSense touch display with super thin bezels and a resolution of 2880 x 1920 pixels. Under the hood is the Microsoft SQ1, a custom-made chipset from Qualcomm. It weighs in at under 800 grams, and is just 5.3mm thin.
You get up to 16GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and up to a 512GB SSD. It has LTE support, Bluetooth 5.0, and delivers up to 13.0 hours of battery life.
Its Surface Slim Stylus sticks to the type cover via magnets, and can now be charged wirelessly when docked. It also packs a USB-C connector, and will retail for $999.
