OPPO has finally launched its newest mid-range devices in the Philippines. Built for content creators, the Reno2 and Reno2F are both packed with features that allow users to express themselves by creating stories that inspire and empower.
The new Reno2 series features a seamless and flowing look that gets rid of things like the protruding rear camera module, or the notch on the screen. Both are also protected by Gorilla Glass at the front and back.
Reno2 and Reno2 F boast 6.5-inch AMOLED displays at FHD+ resolution. The former houses a Snapdragon 730G, while the latter sticks to a Helio P70. Both have 8GB of RAM. For storage, it’s 256GB UFS 2.1 for the Reno2 and 128GB for the Reno2 F.
One notable upgrade to the first Reno is the quad rear cam setup. For the Reno2, you get a 48MP Sony IMX586 main sensor with OIS and EIS, along with a 13MP telephoto lens, an 8MP wide-angle lens, and a 2MP Monochrome lens.
The Reno2 F on the other hand, uses a 48MP Samsung GM1 main sensor with EIS, and ditches the 13MP telephoto camera for a 2MP portrait lens. It also has an 8MP wide-angle shooter, and a 2MP Monochrome lens.
Reno2 boasts new features such as Ultra Steady Video, which minimizes shake when shooting videos of up to 1080p 60fps using the main rear camera, and can be activated via the Camera app, Bokeh Effect Video, and Audio Zoom, which lets you amplify the sound any object that’s being zoomed on.
Both have a 16MP front camera with a soft front light, and AI-assisted beautification. Both utilize motorized pop-up module – Reno2 uses a shark fin design, while Reno2 F sticks to a more traditional style.
Reno2 series run on Android 9, with OPPO’s ColorOS 6.1 on top. Both the Reno2 and Reno2 F pack 4,000mAh batteries, and support VOOC 3.0 Flash Charge.
