Apple has just unveiled the new 16-inch MacBook Pro! It replaces the butterfly keys with the more classic scissor-style keys which they call Magic Keyboard.

The new MacBook Pro has a 16-inch Retina Display and is powered by up to an 8-core Intel Core i9 processor. At the base level, it comes with 16GB of 2666MHz DDR4 RAM but can be configured to either 32GB or 64GB of memory. The revamped laptop also comes with either 512GB or 1TB SSD and configurable up to 8TB SSD. (Yes, you read that right, 8TB of storage!)

As far as graphics go, it is equipped with either an AMD Radeon Pro 5300M or AMD Radeon Pro 5500M. Both variants come with 4GB of GDDR6 memory but can be configured up to AMD Radeon Pro 5500M with 8GB of GDDR6 memory.

The new MacBook Pro has the redesigned scissor mechanism, Magic Keyboard with 1mm travel for a much more satisfying typing experience. The new keyboard also has a physical Escape key and an inverted-“T” arrangement for its arrow keys. Other features include a six-speaker sound system, Touch Bar, Touch ID, the Force Touch trackpad, and the Apple T2 Security Chip.

The new 16-inch MacBook Pro starts at USD 2,399 (around PHP 121,700) and available through and the Apple Store app. It’s set to be available in Apple Stores and authorized resellers in the US later this week. Global availability was just mentioned to be soon.
