Honor V30 and V30 Pro have been officially launched in Beijing, China packed with the Kirin 990 SoC. These are the first smartphones from the company that come with 5G support.

HONOR V30 and V30 Pro both sport a 6.57-inch LCD punch-hole display with Full HD+ resolution. Hidden away in the punch-hole is a 32MP front camera with Super Night Mode accompanied by an 8MP ultra wide-angle shooter with a 105-degree field-of-view. The fingerprint scanner is found on the side of the phones.

The difference lies in the rear, in their triple rear-camera setup. They share the main 40MP IMX600 sensor with Dual OIS and laser AF but differ in aperture. The V30 Pro has a faster f/1.6 lens while the V30 has an f/1.8 shooter.
Its secondary lens is shared between the two, an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, f/2.4 aperture, and OIS.

The third and final camera shows the biggest difference despite both being ultrawide cameras. The HONOR V30 Pro packs a 12MP sensor with 16:9 ratio and f/2.2 aperture while the V30 has 8MP optics with f/2.4 aperture.
Like we’ve said, both phones are powered by the Kirin 990 5G SoC, albeit with slight changes. The V30 Pro has the 7nm+ Kirin 990 which comes with an integrated modem while the base V30 has the basic 7nm Kirin 990 with the Balong 5000 modem.

This is joined by two memory configurations per device – 6GB RAM+128GB internal storage and 8GB RAM+128GB internal storage for the V30 and , 8GB+128GB and 8GB RAM+256GB internal storage for the V30 Pro.
HONOR V30 gets its juice from a 4200mAh battery with 40W Honor SuperCharge. Honor V30 Pro, on the other hand, packs a 4100mAh power cell with 40W Honor SuperChagre and 27W Super Wireless Charge.

Out of the box, both V30 series phones will run on Magic UI 3.0.1, based on Android 10. Both phones will also feature GPU Turbo and Kirin Gaming+ 2.0.
HONOR V30 series is launching in China initially with four colors – Orange, Blue, Pearl White, and Black.

HONOR V30 will sell for CNY 3,299 (around PHP 23,900) for the 6GB/128GB variant and CNY 3,699 (around PHP 26,700) for the 8GB/128GB option. The HONOR V30 Pro will be available for CNY 3,899 (around PHP 28, 200) and CNY 4,199 (around PHP 30,400) for the 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB, respectively.
