The first to usher the 11.11 shopping festival to the SEA region, Lazada once again shows its technology innovations with new in-app features and games, aimed to both entertain shoppers and at the same time, empower sellers, all in time for the biggest sale of the year.
Lazada Image Scan and Augmented Reality
Using the new Image Scan feature of the Lazada app, you can now search for a particular item just by pointing your phone’s camera at it. The app will then show the item, and other similar items, and add them to your cart. With L’Oreal’s Magic Mirror, beauty enthusiasts can also click on a makeup product, and test their shade on their lips using AR.
Play ‘LazGames’ and ‘Guess It’ to get exclusive offer and win big prizes during 11.11
New games such as Moji-Go will make it even more fun to win exciting vouchers when you play during 11.11. Users just need to match facial expressions to win coins that can be converted to vouchers.
GUESS IT!, a 4-hour interactive livestream in-app gameshow that aired across six markets on November 4. also showcased Lazada’s innovation in Shoppertainment. Hosted by Sam YG, it featured Mimiyuuuh, David Guison, Bangs Garcia, and Kimpoy Feliciano. All of whom competed to answer fun trivia questions and guess the price of items that consumers can buy during 11.11.
Lazada 11.11 SuperShow on November 10
Lazada 11.11 Super Show is the country’s first live interactive countdown concert on Nov. 10. In partnership with ABS-CBN, the Super Show will be broadcast on TV and the app via Livestream, and will be hosted by Vice Ganda, Billy Crawford, Karylle and Mimiyuuh, with special performances from James Reid, Maja Salvador, Mayward and many more.
The show will also introduce Voucher Rain, an interactive game where shoppers can slash their way to collect more vouchers. Partner brands will showcase more surprises. Hyundai in particular, will be raffling off a brand new Hyundai Reina, and shoppers can simply follow the Hyundai store on Lazada and wait for the winner to be announced on November 11.
Ending the show will be the biggest surprise yet – a special simulcast performance of Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Taylor Swift, who will be performing live at our sister brand TMALL Gala Show and streamed live on the Lazada App.
