Two new notebooks were announced at the Samsung Developer Conference 2019 – the Galaxy Book Flex and Galaxy Book Ion.

The most notable feature that both notebooks share is a QLED Full HD display at 1920×1080. These panels have a peak brightness of 600 nits which makes them seem suitable for outdoor use.

Both devices support Samsung’s Wireless PowerShare and can charge your Qi-compatible gadgets using the touchpad. While not many will maximize this feature, to those that have devices that support Qi charging and have a mouse, this may come in handy. The new notebooks also feature AKG-branded stereo speakers.

The Galaxy Book Flex gets its name from the 360-degree rotating touchscreen display and also supports the S-Pen. As far as connectivity goes, it has 2x Thunderbolt connectors and a microSD card slot. It gets its juice from a 69.7Wh battery.

The 13-inch Flex weighs in at just 1.15kg and packs a 10th Generation Intel Core processor with integrated graphics, up to 16GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to a 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD. It also includes a fingerprint reader for extra security.
