OPPO unveiled the latest devices to its budget-friendly A-series – The OPPO A91 and A8.
The OPPO A91 has a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch for its 16MP front camera. Its fingerprint scanner is also found on its display.
It has a quad-camera setup with a 48MP main shooter accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide, a 2MP macro, and a 2MP lenses.
The A91 is powered by a MediaTek Helio P70 coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage with a microSD slot for expandable storage. It gets its juice from a 4000mAh battery with support for 30W VOOC 3.0 fast charging.
Out of the box, the A91 runs on ColorOS 6.1 with Android 9.
The OPPO A8, on the other hand, is an entry-level phone with a 6.5-inch HD+ IPS panel with an 8MP front cam in its waterdrop notch. On the rear are the triple cameras – 12MP main and two 2MP shooters as well as its fingerprint scanner.
At the helm of it all is an Helio P35 with 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage and a microSD slot for more storage. The A8 has a 4230mAh battery but no fast charging.
Like the A91, the A8 runs on ColorOS 6.1 on top of Android 9 Pie.
The OPPO A91 comes in three colors – Dark Blue, Red, and Gradient colors. It is priced at CNY 1,999 (around PHP 14,500). The OPPO A8 comes in Azure and Black and sells for CNY 1,199 (around PHP 8,700). The OPPO A91 and A8 will hit the Chinese markets starting December 26.
