After the cover art leak a few days ago, the Resident Evil 3 Remake has now been formally announced through PlayStation’s State of Play year ender presentation. Releasing in April 3, 2020, Resident Evil 3 stars Jill Valentine and will feature graphical and gameplay improvements, utilizing the new technology at hand from their most recent games.

As part of the release of RE3, a Collectors Edition has been spotted as well. Setting you back for $179.99, roughly around PHP9,000, the RE3 Collectors Edition is similar in contents and packaging as the RE2 Remake installment as it includes the following:
- Standard Edition of the RE3 Game
- Digital Soundtrack
- Racoon City Double Sided Map
- S.T.A.R.S Item Box Packaging
- Collectors Artbook
- 11″ Jill Valentine Figure
None of this would have been possible without the support of the fans for the Resident Evil series. Capcom is well aware of that and they’ve taken the time to give out a special message to accompany the announcement:
As another twist, Project Resistance, the once standalone multiplayer title, is now included as the multiplayer mode for Resident Evil 3. In my opinion, Capcom felt that the feedback from Project Resistance may not have been as good as they had hoped for and thus bundled it in with RE3. It’s actually a pretty smart move because all of a sudden, EVERYBODY will now have access to Resistance and will at least get to try it out, maybe even be hyped for it simply because it’s part of the RE3 package.

Resident Evil 3 Remake will be available on April 3, 2020 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
