Lenovo has just teased its upcoming gaming phone on Weibo. The series of posts on Weibo featured that the device scored a whopping 600,000 on the benchmarking tool, AnTuTu. If it is true, it would be a new record.
With the caption “The Game is On! Now, It’s My Turn!”, it doesn’t make it too hard to guess that it is the gaming smartphone that the company is alluding to. Lenovo has also confirmed that the device will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC with 5G.
Lenovo has teased its gaming device as early as late December with Lenovo Philippines also teasing the device in early January. The device is expected to have the Lenovo Legion moniker, following in the footsteps of ASUS and its ROG phone.
If the over 600,000 score on AnTuTu holds true for the Lenovo gaming phone, it will be a truly exciting time for mobile gamer and gaming phone enthusiasts as well. The ASUS ROG Phone 2 exceeded expectations and seeing new devices to contest it will not only push other companies to innovate, but it’ll also be a win for consumers.
