It’s no surprise that The Last of Us 2 is one of the most anticipated games of 2020. The first game, in fact, was voted the best game of the decade so this sequel has lofty goals to meet.
We’ve seen trailers and teasers and delays, but it’s now been revealed that The Last of Us 2 is now rated for Mature audiences 17+, indicating a first time for Naughty Dog to tread in these waters. While it should come as no surprise, you can see why in the gameplay trailer from a couple of years back.
Apart from the realistic depictions of violence and gore, we can also expect more adult themes that The Last of Us 2 is preparing to convey, especially with that romantic moment our 2 leads shared. It is a sensitive topic that has to be portrayed properly and if anyone can do it, leave it to Naughty Dog to seal the deal on that front.
The Last of Us 2 has is scheduled to release on May 29, 2020.
