The Witcher has become a massive franchise for CD Projekt Red, already spawning a hit series from Netflix starring none other than Henry Cavill. It would be a shame if The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt would be their last Witcher game, right?
Not to worry, since CDPR President Adam Kiciński has already confirmed the existence of an upcoming yet unannounced game. In a couple of Polish websites, particularly Eurogamer and Stooq, Kiciński shared about post Cyberpunk 2077 plans and bared that they have already started to work on a new single player game within the world of The Witcher.
As translated by Tweaktown, CDPR’s plan is to go on full development after Cyberpunk 2077, which was recently delayed to September.
“We have already been working on another single player game, we have created a relatively clear concept that is waiting for further development,”
Whether or not the new game will still feature Geralt or will focus on new stories has yet to be decided on, but at the very least we can rest easy knowing that the world of The Witcher won’t be ending anytime soon. In fact, the game, when officially announced, isn’t probably going to be released anytime soon as well.
The Witcher 3 was recently released for the Switch to rave reviews and since the latest patch, has allowed cross saves from PC and much improved graphical detail, making it a must play for Switch owners out there.
