OPPO announced that it will license its global 3G and 4G standard-essential patents to the IoT (Internet of Things) and automotive markets through the Avanci licensing platform.

Avanci is a patent licensing platform that provides a one-stop solution for IoT vendors to access wireless communication technology. The company has already licensed 14 automotive brands for their connected vehicles.

The company had more than 43,000 global patent applications and more than 16,000 patents, including more than 38,000 patent applications for inventions that account for more than 88% of its total applications.
