OPPO to License Cellular Patents to IoT Industry Using Avanci

OPPO announced that it will license its global 3G and 4G standard-essential patents to the IoT (Internet of Things) and automotive markets through the Avanci licensing platform.

We are willing to license OPPO’s essential patent portfolio to the industry based on fair, reasonable, and non-discriminatory (FRAND) terms. We are pleased to offer our 3G and 4G communications standard-essential patents for licensing through Avanci to IoT and automotive manufacturers.”

Avanci is a patent licensing platform that provides a one-stop solution for IoT vendors to access wireless communication technology. The company has already licensed 14 automotive brands for their connected vehicles.

OPPO has always attached great importance to R&D innovations in order to quality products and service experiences for users worldwide. The company had more than 43,000 global patent applications and more than 16,000 patents, including more than 38,000 patent applications for inventions that account for more than 88% of its total applications.
