ASUS ROG has announced the newest iterations of its Strix SCAR gaming laptop. The ROG Strix SCAR 15 and 17 are powered by Intel’s 10th Generation Processors and are built to shine in the spotlight of esports arenas.
SCAR 15 boasts a 15.6-inch FHD display with 300Hz refresh rate. Under the hood is the Intel Core i9-10880H, along with up to 32GB of DDR4 3200MHz RAM, and up to an RTX 2070 Super GPU. For storage, it has 3 M.2 slots which can be configured for Raid 0.
SCAR 17 on the other hand, has a larger display with the same refresh rate, powered by the same CPU, the same amount of RAM and storage, but has a more powerful RTX 2080 Super as its GPU.
The SCAR series also features customizable RGB lighting effects, including a wraparound light bar, keyboard backlighting, an illuminated RGB logo, and the ROG Keystone II – an NFC-powered device that docks on to the side of the chassis.
The Keystone 2 can be customized to launch a game or app when inserted, provide access to an encrypted shadow drive, and initiate a stealth mode that mutes audio and minimizes all apps when removed.
