Over PhP15 Million Raised via Lazada’s Digital Giving Platform

Almost a month since Lazada started rallying Filipinos to help out in any way they can using its digital giving platform, LazadaForGood, the organization has been able to raise a total of PhP15 million. This comes after Lazada’s second benefit concert #RadioGivesBack Charity Concert from Home on April 6.

LazadaForGoodDonations go directly to advocacy partners in the form of 13,578 PPE’s, 16,453 meals and food packs, as well as 1,821 hygiene supplies. This aid goes towards supporting frontliners and providing relief to people affected by the virus in the country.

Lazada will be donating PhP5 million to Caritas Manila, Kaya Natin Movement, and the Red Cross, as part of its commitment to give back to the Filipino community besides creating a platform where people can donate easily and securely.

Partner organizations under the platform include UNICEF, Caritas Manila, The Philippine Red Cross, Virlanie Foundation, Kaya Natin Movement, 2KK Tulong sa Kapwa Kapatid, Tahanan ng Pagmamahal, Project PEARLS, World Vision, Save San Roque, Life Cycles PH, Habitat for Humanity Philippines, Spring Rain Global, UNHCR, Good Neighbors PHL, and McDo Kindness Kitchen.

Lazada has now enabled overseas donations, so Filipinos living abroad or anyone who has a foreign credit card can donate via a convenient and secure online payment method.

Donate to your chosen advocacy on LazadaForGood by following these steps:

  1. Download the Lazada App
  2. Create an account by registering your email address
  3. Once you’ve created an account, go to account settings and choose the Philippines as your location to access the LazadaForGood page
  4. On the LazadaForGood page, select your desired donation and advocacy partner
  5. Click ‘Buy Now’ and proceed to ‘Place Order’
  6. Select the credit card payment option, and input foreign card information

Two sessions of Lazada’s first-ever benefit concert – #RadioGivesBack Charity Concert from Home were held on March 30 and April 6. Through LazLive and in partnership with radio stations Magic 89.9, Jam 88.3, Wave 89.1, and Play 99.5. Filipino artists Karylle and Yael Yuzon, The Itchyworms, Munimuni, Barbie Almalbies, Zel of December Avenue, Kitchie Nadal, Gracenote, and Reese Lansangan have rendered their talents to support the cause.
